Is there a way to transfer from ir ESA to cb ESA? Maybe the NI credits are paid for you while on ir ESA and then u could transfer? Or perhaps you can pay extra for credits while you are on ir ESA and transfer after so long? Or does there have to be a break in the claim?

I am afraid there is no way to do this, ESA(CB) is always paid if a claimant is eligible, if you are not eligible then the only to become eligible is for a claimant to acquire sufficient NI Contributions (not Credits), through paid employment or registered self-employment.
