Sent my form off Monday, got a letter from Atos this morning saying they are looking at my claim and saying it will take about 12 to 16 weeks to get an appointment, do they normally let you know they have received your letter, if so seems very efficient as I don't need to worry about whether they got it or not?
Thanks
Mags
I didn't think that they were acknowledging receipt of the PIP2 form, it is a good thing if they are.

I too would be most surprised if it has become the norm for ATOS to provide written acknowledgment of receipt of PIP2 Forms.
It would be a great surprise if ATOS acknowledged receipt of anything unless they were badgered into it.
Maybe it is because you are "Special" Mags !!!!!

She said I had to speak to DWP regarding address as there are new addresses for different areas and she put me through.
DWP gave me the address and said you are sending more evidence which took me aback as I hadnt, then I doubted myself hi king had I forgotten, bad memory, well it turned out that PIP DWP had requested my ESA medical report and that's what had been received, so it would seem they do use the medical report from ESA for PIP.

Hi M,
Re : using ESA Medical Reports for PIP Assessment, what you have been told seems somewhat contrary to what Esther McVey stated in response to a query from Anne Begg :
" As such we are not intending to use evidence from WCAs in PIP or vice-versa. There may be some limited exceptions to this, however, where the evidence is useful and it is helpful to the claimant – for example, to support the swift processing of claims for terminally ill claimants who have recently been assessed for the other benefit."
