Hi, firstly I want to say thank you, your guides have helped me with my PIP application & face to Face I don't have a decision yet, but the assesor said I met enhanced rate on both parts, now up to the powers that be.
I need some guidance on finishing work, I've been back at work for 3 months after a bad attack of my progressive illness, I am struggling and failing to keep up with the work, I'm not sure my employer can put anything more in place to help, I have had access to work involved but to be honest the aids haven't eased my workload. I have a 3 months sick note &G.p supports me leaving at least I tried he said, my question is do I have to stay on SSP for 6 months is this episode classed as a new one or is it added to my previous time off as in the same year.
I have been informed by my manager that another interview with HR will happen nextt week & I will be required to attend another OH work assessment, would it harm me to say I don't intend to return to work at the meeting?
Many thanks.

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I am afraid we cannot help you with this question, to a considerable extent it will depend on the terms & conditions of your employment, which obviously we will have no knowledge of.

I would certainly recommend that you get face to face advice before making any statements to your employer about leaving, ideally a union rep is one is available, or your local CAB if not, by volunteering to leave you may be giving up rights that otherwise your employer would have to honour.

My union rep was very helpful when I was in a similar situation, she made sure that my employers did things properly and was able to help when they tried to pay me less than they ought ( after working there for more than 20 years). I hope that you have a satisfactory outcome.
