Thank you for the guides and typical day sheet which I used to help me with my recent PIP claim.

I started the claim in April and had the medical just over a week ago.

I got a letter to say I had been transferred from IB to ESA Support Group just after the medical. (no date for review mentioned)

Then today got letter saying awarded PIP at higher rate daily living and not mobility, for 3 years. When I look through the details it does seem roughly accurate however the lady at the medical said she would ask for a long review period as my condition wouldn't improve. However in the letter it says it may improve.

Is there anything else I should do now? E.g. ask about the ESA how long for etc? I have so far just stuck it all in a file along with past form and medical letters etc. I believe there is something with tax credits, going to send a copy of the letter to them tomorrow. many thanks again.

I will recommend your guides to others with the same condition.

Hi Ob,

Congratulations on The ESA SG and PIP awards !!! :cheer:

Thanks for the recommendation !!! :)

Regarding your ESA SG Award, have a look at my post : Here.

Regarding the PIP award, if you are happy with it and think that it is a fair reflection of how your disabilities affect you, then there is no more to do. :)

Just to add,

I obviously am not aware of your personal financial situation, but as you are now in The SG of ESA, and in receipt of Enhanced Daily Living of PIP, if you can pass the means test for IR ESA, and can fulfill the other criteria for payment of The Severe Disability Premium, (SDP)

You may be entitled to payment of The SDP and The Enhanced Disability Premium (EDP) (As you are in The SG) see :

Asset rule for ESA(IR)

24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)

&

ESA Premiums
