If the DWP realise I have got legal representation and if this was to carry into a tribunal setting. Do you think the DWP would make an appearance at said tribunal?

Got a feeling they would be sitting up straight should I disclose I have had legal help with my application for PIP. Not currently been asked to apply or done so myself. Just thinking ahead as I do.

Cheers!

Hi C123,

There is no reason to inform The DWP unless you want to and you wish them to liaise with your Legal Rep.

You would not have to divulge it to The Tribunal Service (TS) unless you get to the appeal stage.

The DWP will then probably become aware that you have a Legal Rep.

If it gets to The TS Hearing stage, The DWP "may" send a Presenting Officer to the hearing, due to the above.
