I,m puzzled about the learning tasks question.
I could do some of the tasks listed before I be came ill.
For instance I can use a computer tho my abilities r now degraded and I an not sure I could learn how to use a new one.
How do they interpretative this?
For the TV question - I don't watch TV but at a friends place we 'watched' some episodes of a cartoon series I used to like and did not laugh once and in fact found it distressing because of my illness - Des this count as watching TV?

The Learning How To Do Tasks Descriptor as do the other descriptors look at your limitations now, not how you were in the past. If you had no such limitation previously you will need to explain in detail why you do now, preferably with evidence to support your statements.
I assume you are referring to the TV question during the assessment. This is not so much about your ability to watch TV but rather the things that are associated with your doing so. So your watching TV will be taken to indicate that you have no problems with your sight or hearing, that you have no problem with concentration and that you can sit for long periods.

So the fact that I sat thought 4 episodes of a comedy I used to laugh at without laughing once. Along with the fact it just distressed me as I spent most of time think how it all deeply related to me (it's hard to describe the effect/symptom) rather than concentrating on it will be used against me?Gordon wrote: abc

It's no longer ATOS but rather Maximus who now do the assessments for ESA.
I would not expect them to write to your GP in regard to your needing a taxi to get to the assessment, your GP or this locum needs to write to Maximus about why you need this.

If you have problems with any of the areas that I mentioned or indeed any other implied capabilities that might be covered by the other questions used at the assessment then you need to make the assessor aware of those problems in your reply.
So as an example, if you have problems with Standing and Sitting, you might answer that you can only watch TV while lying down.
