I live in Scotland and using entitled to calculators on dwp site I should be getting more housing benefit and council tax refund than I actually receive. Does anyone know how accurate they are?

I currently receive ESA support group, HR mobility ,MR care DLA. Although my condition has worsened quite a lot last 2 years and I have applied for PIP for my care needs.

Put the form in 20 February sent 1st class, got text received few days later. Letter arrived for my assessment 25 miles away from where I live. Phoned them and has been changed to my own city. This will be on 13 April. So quite quick compared to the horror stories have seen on site.

Hi m07,

I have never had the need to use the entitledto : Benefits Calculator

Or indeed the turn2us : Benefits Calculator.

However, they are also used by Welfare Rights Advisers, so one would assume that they are pretty reliable.

There is of course no substitute for a face to face benefit check carried out by The CAB or some other Welfare Rights Advice Agency.

HB and CT Support is administered by each individual Council/LA, so there may be geographical differences.

If you feel that the amount of HB or CT Support that you are receiving is less than your maximum entitlement, you should contact your Council/LA.

There may be further information available on their website.

We have seen wide variations in the time taken to arrange a PIP Assessment after sending your PIP 2 Form in.
