I am starting to get worried and stressed right now as my reassessment for ESA(currently in the SG) is due on the 17th of December 2015 I know it's still quite along time away but has there been any news from Maximus regarding reassessments? Also should I be gathering all the evidence I can from my GP's and CPN's right at this moment??
I was accepted for PIP both mobility/daily-living in December last year and the award was until 2018 with a review in 2017, will I be able to use this even though its going to be nearly 1 year old when my ESA review comes up....
Sorry for the messed up post just really working myself up with this
Maximus has said it is working to reduce the outstanding back log but expects it to take the 18 months to achieve. There is no new information regarding the deferment of re-assessments, although from feedback in the forum it is still happening.
To try and ease your stress you could phone the DWP and ask when your next assessment will be, at least then you will have a better understanding of what you are aiming for. Doing so will not initiate an assessment as the call centre staff do not have authority to do this.
If your assessment is still targeted for December, then it would be worth your while starting to collect information to support this.
You can certainly use the PIP reports that you have but you need to make sure that the information is related to the ESA Descriptors wherever possible, the criteria are sufficiently different that the reports will only be useful in a few cases if you do not do this.
