I had a medical by Maximus today. It only took about five mins. The health professional asked:
Do you suffer from depression? I replied Yes.
Do you suffer from anxiety? I replied Yes.
Do you have absence seizures? I replied Yes.
Do you have tinnitus? I replied Yes.
She took a few notes about me being suicidal in the past. When I said, I had numbness all over my body and painful muscles. She said that she was only a nurse, and she's referring me to a doctor, and maximus will call me in a few weeks time.
What worried me the most was the medical person today didn’t ask why I was depressed and anxious. I was bullied at numerous workplaces and at home in my formative years by my father.
I had a medical about four years ago, and I was in with the medical person employed by atos (sorry for the dirty word) for about 45 mins. He was asking me about my general outlook on life, and how I cope at home, and socially.
I noticed while I was waiting the other people called in, were only in the interview for about five to fifteen mins, which I thought was too short a time to accurately evaluate a person’s disability.
I’m worried that I may be pushed onto JSA. Maximus are doing things differently.
