Hi all,I have a question about the HP's report.. It says based on the claimants likely future circumstances, it would be appropriate to review the claim in: 5 years 0 months.... I havent been awarded anything so what is this relating to?

Hi bm1973,

Posting multiple duplicate posts will not hasten a response ! :)

On the contrary, it can slow things down.

Have a read of : This Topic which is usually at or near the top of the forum.

Are you sure that The HP hasn't recommended an award that the PIP Decision Maker (Case Manager) has not agreed with ?

Have you actually had The PIP Decision Notice letter from the DWP yet ?

If you have had the Decision Notice letter and it confirms that you have not received any level of PIP Award, I have no idea why an assessing HP would give a recommended period of 5 years for a none existent PIP award.

If you have any doubts, you should contact The PIP Helpline number :

Telephone: 0345 850 3322

Textphone: 0345 601 6677

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm

If you have received an adverse PIP Decision Notice letter, it is that decision that counts over any recommendations made by The PIP HP Assessor in a "Medical Report".

If you have received the Decision Notice letter and wish to challenge the decision, you have one month from the date of the letter to make a written request for a Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR)

Sending Documents to the DWP.

Hi thanks for the reply, sorry for the multiple posts my laptop was playing up and i didnt know if it had posted or not.

Had decision letters etc I am actually at the appeal stage now and trying to gather evidence for my case to discredit the HP's report It is just on one of the back pages on the report and I didnt understand it. Is it worth mentioning this in my appeal as also in the decision makers response they have refered to me in one of the paragraphs as someone else. A totally different name!!! It is like I cant trust the report as I think some of it isnt about me.

Thanks

Hi bm1973,

The fact that you have a 5 year recommendation for a none existent PIP award in the assessors report added to the fact that the DM has referred to someone else in their response "may" indicate an error.

I would certainly mention it in your appeal submission, and if you haven't brought this issue up with The DWP before, it may also be worthwhile highlighting it to them in the form of a separate letter to The PIP DM. (Case Manager)

I would continue with your appeal, unless informed to the contrary.

Hi,

bluemoon1973, I have the same thing on my HP report, although mine says 2 years. I was only awarded 2 points, so no actual payments, but I also have this recommendation from the HP on when my case should be reviewed, as she doesn't think my condition will improve.

I wonder if everyone gets it?

Amanda

My guess is that it an entry on the assessment report that the HCP is required to complete, whether an award is made or not.
