Transfer from DLA toPIP was created by cossack
Hi, I am in receipt of indefinite DLA, as a result of suffering from MS. I know that the change over for indefinite awards is due to start in Oct of this year. Will everybody in this position be called up to apply and will everybody have to face a FtoF? I know the benefit for ESA is different but I didn't have a FtoF for that award - presume all the med info I sent from neurologist was enough for them. Am trying to keep calm as I believe it's going to be a couple of years in the change over, but any advice would be appreciated from B and W as you all do a fantastic job, especially in seeing 'the wood from the trees'. Many thanks in advance.

I am afraid there is no more information about the transfer than when it was originally announced, we're expecting more information to be made available as we get closer to October.
Everyone who was under 65 on 8 April 2013 will be transferred, whether you are required to have a face to face will to a considerable extent depend on the information you supply in and with the PIP2 form.

I am so worried also. I am 61 and was awarded indefinate DLA in November. If i did not
get my DLA i would be in a dire situation. I would love to work having worked as a Practice
Manager for NHS but not physically capable anymore. I am at my wits end now this government
is in i cannot see things getting any better. Have you any idea when they will take me off DLA
and put me through a medical to get PIP. I have osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, chronic asthma
and mental health issues. As far as i can see unless, you cant walk, talk, hear and speak they
will take this benefit away.

At this time all we can say is that you can be invited to claim PIP from October of this year onwards, claimants will be chosen at random and the project will take several years to complete.
As more information becomes available it will be posted to the forum.
