Hi everyone.
I was recently awarded pip standard daily living, since being awarded this my condition has changed somewhat, I have been diagnosed with bipolar and now starting new medication.
I contacted DWP to inform them of changes and was told that I will have to make a new claim, does this mean I will also have to have another f2f assessment?
Has anyone else been or going through this?
Many thanks.

Hi rj,

Yes, any request for 'supersession' of a claim due to deteriorating conditions will result in a new form to filled out and possibly a f2f assessment again.

With a supersession, the onus is completely on the claimant to show 2 things. Firstly that the condition has worsened since the last decision. Secondly that the condition now scores enough points for an enhanced award. Of course, there is also the possibility that the condition has actually improved and the award will be reduced or removed.

Any decision will be appealable in the normal manner.
