ESA capping and Christmas Bonus was created by Tnuctip
Please check carefully if you get a letter. I get a Civil Service pension and was told my ESA would be capped by nearly £5 a week after my annual pension increase. Visit the Gov UK site to check what benefits are NOT liable to ESA capping. In my case, Housing Benefit is not claimed, and Indefinite DLA means I am exempt from the cap.
I have also heard that my Christmas bonus payment has been wrongly stopped for the last 5 years and will be paid soon. I never queried this decision at the time, assuming I was still under pension age.

ESA can be affected by pension income, for Income Related ESA it is £ for £, for Contribution Based ESA there is an £85/week disregard followed by a £1/week for every £2/week in excess.
The Christmas Bonus is linked to you receiving a qualifying benefit , it is not related to whether you receive the State Pension.
