I think that this site does so much great work for the benefit of us claimants that it would be a good idea to get everyone to voluntarily donate just a pound or two to a central fund so that more money would be available when needed to pay for help that may not be forthcoming freely. It would be nice if everything was done on a "pro bono" system but as we all know sometimes things get moving a bit better when oiled with cash. Just an idea.

It's a lovely idea, but the issue is not with the funding for the individual, it is central funding that is missing leading to lack of trained people in the first place. There has been a significant reduction in Welfare Rights support since the Government removed Legal Aid funding for First Tier Tribunals.
