PIP & 28+ Day Hospital Stays

As always, it is the claimants responsibility to inform the DWP if they will be in hospital for a period of 28 days or more or a total of 28 days in two or more periods as an in-patient separated by 28 days or less.

Payments of both components will be suspended while the claimants meets the above but will be re-instated when they do not.

You don't need to inform them unless you have or expect to be in hospital for more than 28 days in a single period or a linked period.
