Claiming ESA with savings

Do you know the maximum amount of savings you are allowed while claiming ESA ?

Hi Pam,

If you are on contributory ESA there is no limit to the savings you can hold.

If you are on income-related ESA, your maximum savings/assets is £16,000 although payment would be reduced, pro rata, before this. IR ESA is also dependent on income of, and hours worked by, any partner who lives with you.
