so it's best to call them as they should know what's going on, We called Maximus & they said they had our wrong address so updated it on the spot, then Maximus said to contact DWP as they send them the information for people to be reassessed & there is nothing on there file but they said it's strange as she hasn't been reassessed since 2012 so must be due anytime now, So the DWP lied as they said that Maximus should know, this is very confusing.

A couple of weeks ago the DWP said that reassessment date was Feb 24th 2016 & Now they say no date is showing up at all & they just said you should be sent a WCA assessment soon but they have no idea when, they also kept going on about my partner being reassessed in 2014, when she was not at all, her claim was just deferred.

Hi l,

I see that you have other ESA related topics which I will merge with this one !

ESA does not "run out" !!

Theoretically it is awarded "Indefinitely" subject to periodic reassessments !!

The longest period between reassessments is normally 3 years, however due to the huge backlog, from January 2014 reassessments were being deferred for 2 years, so it is highly possible that when their last reassessment date flagged up on DWP systems that it was deferred as above.

ESA reassessments restarted in December 2015, so if your partner's reassessment had been deferred before then, it is probable that he would not have heard for a while yet.

So, it is not strange that he had not been reassessed since 2012, many of our members have experienced the same.

I know of claimants who were first assessed in 2011 with a 2 year prognosis, and have still not been re-assessed due to deferrals, they have been informed that their next recommended date for reassessment is now 2017.

You should not have to have done anything to instigate their reassessment, as when their reassessment date flags up with The ESA WCA Team they re-refer the claimant back to Maximus who then send the ESA50 out to start the reassessment.

Rather than your partner being "reassessed" in 2014, it is more likely that his reassessment flagged up and was deferred to a later date.

Their current ESA payments will continue until a hew ESA50 is received, they have gone through the reassessment process and a decision has been made by The ESA DWP DM.

Thank You Bro, I appreciate the help, I'm actually a Male, but I opened the account a long time ago in my partners name Louise, as it would be related questions to her claim, sorry for the confusion.
So I suppose it's just waiting now, she had a face to face medical in feb 2012 & passed in to support group, which they said would be reassessed in feb 2014, but then in 2014 we contacted & they said she wont be reassessed until feb 2016, because of a deferral.
We were just curious why she hadn't received a new form yet & each time phoning they have no idea what's going on or when she should receive any thing.
Thanks again.

Hi l,

Sorry !!! :)

It is quite difficult to answer a query in 3rd person, referring to someone else other than the poster of the query !!

Hence sometimes her, his, he, she, their and them get mixed up in a response to a query regarding someone else !! :)

Hi, The DWP sent me a text on 24th Feb 2016, saying they have sent out the how the disability affects you form for PIP for my partner, we haven't received the form yet, I know they send it by 2nd class mail, but I presumed it would only take 3-5 days to receive from the text message,
should I keep on waiting, or do I need to phone them up, to see if it's really been sent out to my partner.
Thank You in advance.

I would phone to say that it has not yet been received,

Gordon

Hi Gordon, Strangely the PIP Form has just arrived at 3,10pm today as well as a new ESA Form to complete as well, so I've got to go through two forms now for my partner,
Can't believe they sent them off at the exact same time as each other.

I did print out a ESA form a while ago, where I typed in the answers & then printed it out, am I able to use that printed version of the ESA form? or do I have to fill in this Pink/white ESA form in pen?

Thank You in advance.
