Also I dont know if it's worth mentioning that I've never filled in a permitted work form but I have done voluntary work - perhaps it's different - the DWP knew about this because I was sent some form to fill in about 2 or 3 years ago which asked about my bank details how much money i had in the bank and whether i was doing any work or planning to. I put down that i was voluntary self employed that I did supervised work 2 hours a week and had my travel costs covered and they were happy with that. So I guess not everyone is a monster.
I just always try my best to be up front even though it's not always worked out for me.
I am determined that I will eventually be in paid self employment one way or another. But it's not going to happen any time soon.
Ok I've not looked through the whole website but this organisation appearelntly helps people who are disabled become self employed. There is a lady who has ms who is one of the success stories, she has been on benefits for 7 years and is able to earn money from writing through the permitted work scheme.
