PIP reclaim

With a reclaim for PIP, does PIP remain in payment until the decision is made if the form was returned on time?
Timeline is
6/1/2016 PIP claim
August 2015 Awarded at FTT - 2 years
Mid nov. 2015 Reclaim pack arrives
Mid dec. 2015 Cmpleted form received by DWP
5/1/206 PIP payment stopped
6/1/2016 Original award end date.
I'm being told that there's no payment now until a new award, if any is made. Is this correct?

Your current PIP claim remains in payment until a new Decision is made of the award expires.

jace wrote: Sorry.... since posting I have had a call back from a claim manager He has kindly agreed to give me the reference to the statutory instrument or decision makers guide spelling out the legality of stopping the award when a new decision has not yet been made. He tried to find it while I was on the phone, but came back and said this is going to take him some time and he'll come back to me when he has the reference... maybe he will - he seemed decent. Update from that - The case manager has referred to the quality assurance manager, who is meant to email me with the link - if they can or do.
That'll teach me not to read your post fully

Under normal circumstances your PIP claim should have remained in payment until a new Decision was made following the re-assessment.
The only reason for it being stopped prior to a Decision being made would be if the form was returned late.
