The guide has already been updated, it's important to understand that the judgements are not binding on a Tribunal although they would need to provide detailed reasons why they had not followed them.

The matter will not be resolved until a three judge panel sit and make a ruling.

Hi I,

As Gordon and I have stated our Guides have already been updated to reflect this, and this is done on a regular basis to keep them current.

Applying for benefits is difficult enough for people with autism as it is. Many cannot go out without someone else. We could do with a guide with more info for those on the autistic spectrum and their carers as the guides are great butwhen people interpret things completely literally, they do not understand how the guides apply to them.

It is always best to bear in mind the government had no intention of making the claims process easy or fair to sick and disabled people. It is an exercise to arbitrarily reduce the numbers claiming to reduce the benefits bill and in line with government ideology.
This particular descriptor was exactly how they intended it. They don't care if we are all housebound, alone and freezing/starving.

Hi s,

Even though PIP is awarded by scoring points for the limitations caused by Medical Conditions rather than for any particular Medical Condition in itself, I understand where you are coming from.
