Cooking and bathing, PIP was created by WmWallace
Hi all,

I have both physical and mental health issues.

I live with landlord and family. I have on 3 occasions set fire to the pans, also the cooker.

This is because my lack of awareness, concentration, confusion, due to illness, side effects medication. I am having treatment for my mental health issues, mental health support worker and Tenancy support worker, care Plan.

I also have heart condition.

For the reasons above I have been ask not to cook whilst on my own in house by landlord.

This is for safety reasons also damage to property. They cook my meal when they get home.

I have also flooded the bathroom, kitchen below, twice, so they run bath when they are home, because I get confused forget bath is on.

I am a bit confused how to put this on PIP form

Any advice welcomed.

Wm

If you have a look at the PIP Claim guide there is a formula to replying to each of the questions on the form, for example for Preparing Food the "formula" is at the bottom of page 25 of the latest guide,

For each limitation, use the formula to explain how you are limited.

Hi Gordon thanks for that quick response, I'm sorry I did not make myself clear. I meant to ask with these problems, can I say I am not able to carry out theses activities.

Sorry for asking another question, I have PIP here, but on my own just at present.

Yes you can but you really need to look at the guide.
