Am i being mucked around? ESA was created by louise
Hi, My partner is due a medical reassessment at the end of Feb 2016, I phoned today twice, about when to expect to receive a ESA50 form to fill out.
First person stated it's odd that my partner hasn't received a form yet & they actually stated on the phone they don't understand how it all works & what the different ESA groups actually mean, this person promised to get some one who will know to contact back today before 5pm, to explain things to me properly.
I gave up waiting & phone again at 4.30pm to be told that there was no recorded telephone call back to be done? so I had been lied too, then I enquired again about why hasn't my partner received a form yet, they said I've misunderstood the situation & that my partner wont get any letter/form until it's reached the exact date & then they will look in to my partner reassessment, whether she needs one, so where are people getting told they will receive there forms say 2-4 weeks before the end date is due?,
Or am I being lied to again.
It's very confusing & stressing my partner out hugely & making her feel like giving up, as she feels like she is being picked on.
What happens if we receive no letter/form after the reassessment date ends.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Louise,
I think you are another victim of poorly trained call handlers at DWP!
ESA is an open-ended benefit that can be reviewed at any stage once 3 months has elapsed since the original decision. A review date is set when the award is made, but this does not form part of the decision and is not binding. In the event, DWP has had a huge backlog of cases and reassessments were put on hold for several years.
The ESA remains in payment until a new decision is made, whenever that happens to be, so you do not need to fear that it will suddenly stop as the award has ended.
How often will I be reviewed
