I'm afraid it doesn't work like that.
If you are eligible for ESA(CB) then your would be receiving it now, given you appear to have been on Income Support prior to ESA, I assume this was a transfer, then I'm afraid you will not meet the requirements for ESA(CB).
If you receive the money and as a result your savings, assets and cash exceed the £16,000 limit then your ESA payments will be suspended but your claim will remain open. You must inform the DWP if you go above £6000.
Once you are below the £16,000 you can contact the DWP and payments should be restarted. See
