Hi Homer,

The changes will affect decisions made from 2017 onwards. It doesn't seem that the intention currently is to 'invite' people for reassessment ahead of time. However, the regulations were written to allow reassessment at any time for any (or no) reason and to allow regular reassessment of the descriptors in order to maintain downward pressure on the benefits bill!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi h,

See : This Topic

There is certainly nothing illegal about a current Government making changes to Legislation !

After all, apparently, some people did vote for the Tories at the last General Election !!!!

I often wonder how many of those who voted for them, will now find themselves adversely effected by the changes/cuts to Welfare !!!!

Nough said !!!! ;)
