Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi dexter and welcome to the forum. On the assumption that you are also new to the site, this link should help you find your way around.
Welcome to Benefits and Work
The advice I would give is not to sacrifice your claim for the sake of brevity. I agree that the assessor is unlikely to wade through War and Peace but I also think it unlikely that you would be able to explain your difficulties in just a few words. Our PIP guides suggest a format for answering the questions which is relevant no matter what condition/s you suffer from.
If you have further questions please reply to this message and we will do our best to help. You might like to bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now as that will help you find it easily in future

Hi Dexter,
I have merged your query with your previous PIP topic - it helps us enormously if everything relating to one claim is kept in the same place.
Yes, lots of people are getting these letters. Having caught up the backlog and speeded up the process considerably last year, it seems that DWP are now struggling again and claims are taking some time.
You should Bookmark/Favourite this page in your Internet Browser now.
That way you can return to this topic easily to pose any further queries that you may have by replying to the topic.
See : This Topic also !
Thanks in anticipation of your future co-operation in keeping all your PIP related queries to this topic !

I got one too. 2 weeks later I received the PIP Decision and have been awarded enhanced rate for both components. It's took 8 months in total
7 weeks for a decision from assessment day. It's a standard letter of apology
