Hi, I have been accepted onto the ESA (Contribution based) assessment phase but because I have a pension income I will only receive £27.24 a week. The reduction will apply if I make it into either the Work Group or Support Group.
So, I was wondering if I'd be better off claiming JSA or is that reduced for pension income too?

We don't advise on JSA but my understanding is that JSA(CB) does take into account pension income, there is a £50 disregard (it's £85 for ESA), also you can only receive JSA(CB) for six months.
