still waiting was created by DONNA
My DLA was being changed over to PIP I had a home visit to assess my condition. I have been waiting since December to hear back. I got a letter from DLA saying I had a 1 year award thinking it was my award I accepted that. I contacted the PIP office to be told I had not got a outcome to my claim I would hear soon that was a month ago.
Is this normal should I have heard before now?
The lady at the PIP office was very pleasant which made a change she did say that DLA was given to allow for the time it takes to sort out the award.
Has anyone heard anything like this before?
Any reply would help me.

Your DLA will remain in payment until four weeks after a Decision on your PIP claim is made, it's normal for the DWP to extend the DLA if they are approaching the end of a fixed term award to ensure that this happened.
The Decision making process for PIP has significantly slowed down since the beginning of the year.

Another member posted today saying he has been told that decisions are taking upwards of 8 weeks at the moment.
