Great assessment 12 months before claim ends?

Hi all, I'm sure this has come up before but I can't find it in the forum. My pip claim ends 4/4/2017 I've recieved a review form a year before my claim ends! Is this normal? Does the review take a year to complete or is it a way of potentially ending two year claims early?

Yes, I'm afraid it is DWP practice to start the reassessment process 1 year before the award is due to end. Decisions are taking longer recently but, thankfully, are usually finished well within a year!
