My partner has been on DLA for several years and the award was indefinite, he is on a liver transplant register and will never improve his quality of life until he gets one. I have just had to migrate from DLA to PIP myself I am 63 and fingers crossed it goes ok, but it has made me think about his claim, he is 64, last month actually and is still on DLA will he be able to get PIP

Hi loobysue and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I hope you made full use of our guide for your PIP claim!

Everyone who was under 65 in April 2013 will have to apply for PIP eventually. This would happen automatically if the claimant came to the end of their award or notified a change of circumstances. Otherwise they will be selected randomly.
