I am appealing against PIP not ESA. Is it likely that DWP are reconsidering their initial decision following my application to go into a tribunal? I cannot see why they would send me such a text for any other reason. I am fooling myself to be cautiously optimistic???

If they are then it is unlikely that you will hear more than a couple of days before your Tribunal hearing. Does it happen, yes but not very often.
