I m in quite a state as I have been sent a Pip application to replace my DLA 14 May not received then another sent 2 June. However I am abroad and after downloading the PIP1 on this site I see they want to know how long I am abroad. It says Have you been abroad for more than 4 weeks in the last 3 years and they want the dates, I am abroad for most of the year and come back to GB twice for a few months. The hospital abroad saved my life last year as if in the UK I would have certainly died. How do I get over this as being abroad helps my condition with the milder climate and the heat. I really need some advice. If it comes to it would be in UK if they needed a face to face . however I have been on DLA since 1996 been through cancer and serious health problems upto date. Its this question of being abroad has really shaken me.
Please can anyone advise or do I just give up DLA/PIP and my support allowance as well.
This is not a matter that we can easily help you with on the forum and my best advice is that you get face to face advice from a trained advisor, do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.
