Just wanted to everyone know that my son's Capita home assessment was no where as bad as we were expecting. He has mental health issues and the assessment was carried out by a mental health nurse who seemed to be very knowledgable about his condition. It was obvious she had read his notes beforehand and did her best to make him as comfortable as possible, asking him frequently if he needed a break. I know this is no indication of what they outcome will be but I thought it was important to let members know it is not always as bad as expected. I think it is important for people to post positive experiences as well.
Thanks for letting us know how your son's assessment was carried out. We have had a few reports of professional, sympathetic assessors recently. They are very good to hear and give us hope that there are still some decent people out there!
