 	 				Successful PIP appeal - hurrah and thanks was created by Carrie
  			 				Daughter's appeal tribunal took part on Friday.
She had transfered from DLA with a PIP face to face consultation in February.
She had been on DLA mid rate for care and enhanced rate for mobility, for about 20 years and she had a blue badge which is helpful when she goes out with her care workers or enablers of family.
She has a mix of physical, neurological, learning disability and mental health problems.
The DWP PIP decison was enhanced rate for care activities and no mobility benefit with only 4 points allocated and of course loss of blue badge.
We sent more info and the DWP upheld their decision.
We appealed and part of our evidence presented to the tribunal was a summary of a months activity diary re moving about and going out, BASED ON ADVICE AND TEMPLATES IN YOUR GUIDES and a letter based on all the activities from her care service.
We also had support from the CAB in writing the submission.
The medical and disability members of the tribunal were exacting in their questions, and very patient and supportive during the hearing.
The result was that the appeal was allowed;
10 points for Going Out
10 points for Moving About.

Thank you for the great guides.

Now on to the next thing, we now have to complete a Work Capability Questionare re ESA

Congratulations on the win and thank you for you comments.

It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to implement a Tribunal Decision, I would call them to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice, they regularly lose them.
