PIPs Face to Face tomorrow - help please!

Well, after all my worrying (see above) I've just received my letter saying I've got enhanced living and enhanced mobility. I still can't believe it and have to keep pinching myself!

I'm sure that getting the enhanced rate for both is due to a VERY large extent to the helpful advice and support I've received on here so I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's going to make such a HUGE difference to our quality of life.

I also received the copy of my report today, which I have to say was largely very accurate. There was one area where I think I should have scored 4 - 6 points but was only given 2. However, as I was actually given 6 points in the 'preparing food' section, after all the assessor said during the assessment about me using more aids, I am happy to let this go. If I hadn't got enhanced PIPs it would have been a different matter!

I know I'm one of the very lucky ones as my claim has progressed really quickly and was successful first time - I applied in July and was assessed less than two weeks ago. My assessment was done by ATOS in my own home (after ringing them to request this when they initially ignored the information on my application form and sent me an appointment for a centre). I have to say that they have been polite and helpful throughout. I don't want to sound smug but I think it's nice to read a few good experiences and outcomes so I hope this will give people hope that it can be done fairly and kindly.

Hi Rh - yes we got my husband's letter yesterday and he got enhanced rate for both too. His report was accurate and fair too. Our assessor even turned up at the right time, first time. We must have got one of the best assessors ATOS employs and are feeling incredibly lucky. We are over the moon and it is such a relief. After reading so many horror stories I still can't believe we have both got our PIPs. I just wish others had the same decent treatment as we did.
