I found out about my award because I telephoned the DWP.. I telephoned them because I had received a text message from the DWP detailing Job Seekers Allowance and I have not been in receipt of JSA or applied for it for over thirty years!. I was checking with the DWP if it was a scam or if they had sent me someone else's message.(I think I got someone elses messages and someone else got my message) It was then they told me my PIP award had been decided upon.
I am waiting for my award letter and then will decide whether to appeal. I also still have not got my copy of the Assessors report which I requested over three weeks ago, so I have asked for that to be dealt with urgently -my assessment was a joke,

I'm sorry that the award has been downgraded on reassessment

If you decide to accept this, you should not be reassessed until 2019 (maybe 2020 if the DWP ever stop their practice of reassessing a full year before they are due!).
However, legislation allows for reassessment of PIP at any time, for any reason or none, so I can't give you a cast iron guarantee!

You can ask DWP to look at the care element only, but they are not bound to limit themselves to this.

It shows the points I scored for each activity - am I correct in thinking this is the decision makers scores, rather than the Atos Assessor? Then on the last page there is "My Decision" which gives details of the assessment, it is written as if it is the Assessor for example it states"At the Assessment you said that you are able to chew and swallow food". At the Assessment your eye contact, speech, content were normal. I am presuming this is text the decision maker has typed from the Assessors Report, rather than the Assessors full report. I am presuming this is not the Assessors original Report I have been waiting almost a month for?
Yes, this is the Decision Maker's Statement of Reasons, the assessment report will be 20-30 pages in length.
