DLA to PIP result! VERY GOOD NEWS!

My husband walked in saying 'There's a brown envelope for you from DWP-"

Me: "GIVE! GIVE! GIVE! GIVE! GIVE!"

I tore it open and saw the words I'd been hoping for - Enhanced Care, Enhanced Mobility. This is actually an improvement from DLA which was Middle rate Care, High rate Mobility. I handed the letter to my husband to read.

He said, "You missed the best part - Indefinite award!"

I was awarded 19 points for Daily Living and 16 points for Mobility. Most of the point awards on Daily Living were fewer than I'd have thought. (I can't cook at all, but I was only awarded a 4 for the Cooking question, for example.) I might send for the report, just to see their reasoning. But I'm certainly happy with the results! I just hope my husband's PIP goes as well - we just sent his off yesterday!

I don't know how many years I've been using Benefits and Work, for DLA, ESA, and now PIP, but I wouldn't attempt a benefit claim without you. Thank you so much!
