and I will send is via recorder delivery too.
the problem is my assessment is in around a week.
so what will happen now?
do they send an acknowledge letter? or will they contact me?
how do I know they have received my request and whether or not they will provide recording option?
You did say that you were going to phone them when you had sent the letter....

I send an email, a letter and also telephoned them, when I telephoned them they said they put a note of my request and also asked me to call the local centre that I have to attend to confirm, and when I called that centre I was told they will provide a tape recorder not CD and asked me to remind them when I arrive for the assessment.they didn't change the appointment.
so is there anything else I should do?
is this how it's normally done?
also as I mentioned earlier I wanted to change my appointment to a later date, however I didn't request this since I thought when I request for recording of the assessment they are likely to change the appointment as well.is there a deadline for requesting change of appointment? and if I do so, should I ask for recording again?
many thanks.

The use of tapes is new, but actually makes more sense than CDs, otherwise it seems OK.
There's no deadline for asking for a change of appointment although I would not phone on the day, if you want to get it over with then call sooner and if you want to delay the process then phone later. I would remind them that you want the new appointment recorded.
Be aware if you move it then you must attend or you risk your claim being closed.

when I call to change the appointment, can the refuse to do so?
can I choose a date for the next appointment or at least a certain day of week for example and what about the duration it can be delayed? can I request one in few weeks times? or is it entirely up to them?

Refuse no, but you can only change the appointment once.
If you make the appointment while you are on the phone then it should be possible to agree a mutually agreeable date, but they can of course only offer a date/time that is available. The most you can push it back would be three weeks and they will likely try to book it earlier.
