hello,PIP tribunal friday 11 Nov,just wanted some pre-tribunal reassurance. My husband is my rep and has put together a good case we think, but we both have a nagging doubt.here are some details-assessor did not explore good days, bad days, nor recôrd it.Did not explore typicäl day,DWP used this 5 times in paperwork, said i looked well not anxios well kempt.During exam contradicted himself by saying"put your arm down, i can see you are in pain".how then can i look wéll.Said i contradicted myself when i simply misheard the question, said we had adequate eye contact. We would appreciate any feedback good or bad.

I would try and relax and not think about the hearing tomorrow.

I've had several Tribunals, for the first I spent the day before worrying about how I would present my case and the strategies I would use to convince the panel, I had a sleepless night and the plan lasted about two minutes  For the subsequent hearings I've not bothered and they were a lot less stressful and I actually did a better job of presenting my problems as a result.

Best of luck

Gordon

hi jackie ,
i had my tribunal for pip wed just gone ,, i was succesfull ,got standard on both components,.. what gordon as adviced you is spot on , i myself have done nothing but stress and worry trying to put a good case to present myself for the day and it been nearly a year since first applying for it so i know hpw anxious you feel,. .i was very anxious and panicky when i got in building.. and that is expected for everyone gpoing through it realy in fairness ,but one thing i didnt do was try and have answer ready and stress about the what ifss??? etc,,i just answerd the questions i was asked as honestly as i could ,dont feel you have to rush to answer and worry you might say it the wrong way ,,take your time to answer and explain different seranios as examples on good ,ok and bad days ,,just tell them as much detail as you can to give them a picture of your life daily in general,. i was terrified of going ,but was lucky to have a compasionate and understanding panel ,the doctor did grill me with most of the questions but in fairness he was just doing his job and making sure they had the information correct before making a final decision,.realy hope it goes well for you and you get the award you deserve,.
good luck ,
alison, x

Looks like you had some good replies to your posts and am sure you will be fine.

It really is better to relax and when you get questions then, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE to tell them the problems Think of you selling yourself and answer the specific questions.

Am sure you will be fine and we are all rioting for you.

You are not alone, we are all with you

Good Luck

No advice or anything like that, but just to say will be thinking of you tomorrow. :)

I found when I went to Tribunal in the dim and distant past (late 90s can't remember exact year  ) knowing that I had some online friends thinking of me made a real difference. Felt empowered and looked after.

So best of luck Jackie.
