Hi, can anyone shed any light on my current situation or has anyone experienced similar situation. I attended a pip medical on the 22nd of November and as yet have not received the results of it. However today i received a letter from ESA saying a change in rate payable from 12th of May 2015 not 16 due to money coming in. I am in the support group contribution based. When i rang the person seemed at a loss as to explain the letter my money has not been stopped and the letter confirms the same amount will be paid. i was asked had i claimed any other benefit and i told them pip to which the reply was it could be something to do with that. As anyone any suggestions or received similar letters, many thanks for any help.
I'm afraid the DWP are not know for the clarity of their communications. If you are only receiving Contribution Based ESA then your PIP Claim will have no impact on your ESA and there would be no need for the DWP to contact you about your ESA.
I'm afraid the only way to find to find out what is going on is for you to contact the DWP office dealing with your ESA claim.
