Could you tell me if claimants of DLA who are changed over to PIP have assessments? I believed everybody did but I heard somebody just got a letter saying that they had been transfered to PIP and had not been invited to attend an assessment?

Everybody is assessed but not everyone will require a face to face assessment, around 10-15% of claims are dealt with through what is called a Paper assessment using the claim form (PIP2), the evidence attached to it and any other evidence that the DWP and Assessment Provider are able to source.
