esa and mand appeal and claiming pip was created by ccactus
I have just received the dreaded phone call to say I haven't scored enough points for esa, I immediately requested a man recon, in the mean time I am being forced to sign for job seekers; my first app being Monday. My question is whilst all this is going on can I apply for PIP, i.e. is it allowed for me to claim PIP whilst signing on and appealing.
Any help appreciated.

JSA is an income replacement benefit, PIP is paid because of the claimants disability, there is no problem with you making a claim for PIP whilst you receive JSA. If you intend to challenge the ESA Decision then you have the option of presenting a new Fit Note to your JC+ advisor and being excused from your JSA Commitment. Your JSA needs to be in payment for it to be accepted without problem.
