Pip Award was created by gwrman
I have just had to be reassessed after having an award last summer which was enhanced on daily living component and standard on mobility. The reassessment started in october because I had then been registered as severely sight impaired and also at the same time got a guide dog. On my previous assessment i was only registered as partislly sight using a long guide cane. However back then. Even asking for a reconsideration it seemed to fall on deaf ears that I had to use my guide cane all all routes both familiar and unfamiliar and was only awarded the 10 points in mobility. When pip sent my details onto ATOS for a fave to face they gave me a home visit which i was very surprised at but pleased as less stress for me, that was done on dec 29th 2016. Today i had a phone call from a decision maker asking me when had the marked change in the sight happened. I told him last july when i saw my consultant who then said to me when he saw me in october he may register me severely sight impaired which is what he duly did. At the same time i had just started training with a guide dog. After his phone call i rang pip back about 2 hours later and they said to me an award has been made but as the letter hadnt been scanned on the system they couldnt tell me what it said until monday, but they did say the award date was dec 2026. Will I have been awarded the enhanced rate on mobility does anyone know ? I now face a sleepless weekend waiting to hopefully find out in monday, thanks.

I'm sorry to ruin your weekend but there is simply no way to know what the award is until the DWP tell you next week.
