PIP rollout was created by ken
When PIP was first introduced the DWP gave dates as to when people who were on DLA would be asked to make a claim for PIP.
From what I can gather they are now at the stage of dealing with people who are 65 with lifetime awards.
When the first PIP roll out dates came out it stated that people who were over 65 with lifetime awards would not be dealt with until 2018 that as far as I know has been dropped from the roll out is that correct or is there anything in the pipeline to deal with the over 65's?

Claimants are chosen at random.

I asked for a pension forecast and suddenly was sent a pip form! I was on indefinite DLA and aged 62. Coincidence? I think not!

Yes I know claimants are chosen at random (below 65) but it was first stated that the over 65's on lifetime awards would not be dealt with until 2018 that as far as I know has been dropped from the PIP roll out and they would still get DLA

Hi Daisy I think that it does not matter whether you are male or female as to whether or not you will be asked to claim PIP, it's your age, if you have a lifetime award and were 65 or younger on a certain date you will be asked to claim PIP I am not sure what the date actually is but I think it is somewhere around April 2014 but stand corrected if I am wrong, so at 62 your are younger than 65 and will be asked to claim PIP.

I can't really comment as I have not heard of this before. We have had a number of members over the age of 65 already reassessed and the Transitional Regulations which define who will be transferred make no such reference.
