I am on contribution based esa i am 57. I have worked all my life untill last year I have a personal pension that i paid into. I can (if i want to) take some of it early. I know i cannot take an income as it would effect my benefit however do you know if i took a tax free lump sum would it affect my benefits??

I'm afraid we cannot give detailed financial advice on the forum, get face to face advice from a trained advisor before proceeding.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I'm afraid I am not going to allow your post. Your advice is not relevant to the OPs situation and would lead to confusion. They need to get face to face advice.
