ESA Letter was created by bluey149
Has anyone else had a letter regarding a rate rise for ESA?. I had a letter stating that my CB ESA will rise from a little over £218 per fortnight to just over £219 per fortnight, I'm in the Support Group, from 11/4/17. It states that this is due to a change in money coming in. The Letter also says it will increase again to just over £239 per fortnight from 28/11/17. I have recently been awarded enhanced rate components for PIP, however I was in receipt of the enhanced rates under DLA. I've had no increase/decrease in my finances so I don't understand what this change in money coming in can be referring to.

Hi I've also had a letter. It states:
From 12 April 2017 your ESA will be £89.94 a week.
From 29 November 2017 your ESA will be £99.94 a week.
I am on CB ESA in Support Group with a deduction for small Pension.
On reading this I would assume I am getting a £10 increase a week?

I haven't heard of any significant benefit increases, nor of anything due to take effect in November.
If I had to guess, I would suppose that this is actually refers to the annual Christmas bonus and payments will return to normal after the November increase!
