After months of anguish and weeks of sleepness nights I feel like I have won the lottery...back in October I had my ESA support group rate stopped after I scored 0 points on the medical.
Today I attended my tribunal hearing and I went from 0 points and no money to 48 points and support group for two years. I am absolutely gobsmacked and to me it says it all about what the medical assessments are all about - scaring away claimants and fiddling the system figures.
I wanted to share here to advise people to ALWAYS ATTEND AN APPEAL HEARING if you can. I was convinced I would be turned down and would have to start a claim process all over again but I was at my hearing for only around 10 minutes before the decision was made.
If you find yourself being let down by the medical process never give up. I couldn't have felt more hopeless before today and nearly didn't attend my hearing at all. I am so glad I did and now always will.
