ESA Support Group was created by disabled mum
I was reassessed last year and received a decision in October 2016, that I remained in the support group. I was sent another ESA50 in January 2017, which I'm struggling to complete in time. I'm going in for major surgery in 4 weeks, and the form was so early and unexpected, given my present ongoing health problems. But I know it has to be completed. What I would like an answer to is: how does surgery affect the requirement to attend a medical? The reason I am asking is because I did have to cancel a Tribunal Hearing in the past due to surgery, and they were extremely accommodating and understanding, rearranging it to give me sufficient time to recover from the operation.

You need to inform them of the dates of your surgery and of any recovery time, in addition to notifying Maximus, I would also write to the DWP office dealing with your claim.
