Going to tribunal was created by Karen Grant
Hi All,
My daughter has Asperger's and has been awarded enhanced care for p.I.p. but has been awarded only 4 points for planning and following a journey. We have done mandatory consideration and he has basically just put what the other assessor put. I didn't send in any additional evidence but I refuted the fact that someone in a state of a full blown panic attack is capable of following a journey, whether they've planned it or not. As my daughter admitted to being able to methodically plan a journey, which takes her hours upon end to prepare for, I might add, they are saying that she just needs prompting. When her anxiety is severe she can't leave her place, which is most of the time. Also if she goes into panic state when out she just bolts and doesn't even know where she's running to, which is dangerous and I've told them this. I don't know where to start with the tribunal, so any help would be appreciated. I am not well myself so struggling with this. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
The PIP Claim guide has just been updated as a result of new guidance for PIP Mobility, so start by having a look at this.
Also if you daughter is literally taking hours to plan a route then I would have though that the reliability criteria would be a factor that should be taken into account.
