what I meant Gordon is that if DWP and/or their Health Care Assessors were minded to, they could simply downgrade or even not give claimants their mobility awards at a normal review post qualifying age as a means to save money. Claimants would then have no recourse to appeal the decision even if they believed it were patently wrong and would have to return mobility cars, scooters etc even if they had been entitled to these through higher/enhanced mobility awards for years..
You have misunderstood, if the claimant has an award of the Mobility component after the Qualifying Age and that award is reduced or removed, then, of course, they have a right of appeal to have the award reinstated.
The original question was about receiving a Mobility award or having it increased after the QA.
