New PIP mental health changes

New PIP mental health changes was created by smark25
Hi,

So with the government implementing new mobility rules for people with mental health conditions being downgraded from 12 points for those undergoing psychological distress, i have a few questions i am hoping you can clarify:

1. Are the changes definitely going to come into affect or does there have to be some sort of parliamentary scrutiny/debate before it becomes law?
2. If it is law, when my PIP review approaches, will i be judged on the original PIP criteria or the new ones?

1. The changes do not require Parliamentary approval, so unless they are withdrawn before midnight today, they will be law tomorrow.

2. You will be assessed under the new rules as it is the new Decision date that is important for a review.
